Still Packing My Luggage

"You get ideas from daydreaming. You get ideas from being bored. You get ideas all the time. The only difference between writers and other people is we notice when we’re doing it."
Neil Gaiman

"There is no more miserable human being than one in whom nothing is habitual but indecision."
William James, Principles of Psychology (1890)

"…make a radical change in your lifestyle and begin to boldly do things which you may previously never have thought of doing, or been too hesitant to attempt. So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. If you want to get more out of life, you must lose your inclination for monotonous security and adopt a helter-skelter style of life that will at first appear to you to be crazy. But once you become accustomed to such a life you will see its full meaning and its incredible beauty."
Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild

"everyone is a star and deserves a chance to shine"
Marilyn Monroe

"Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don’t turn up at all."
Sam Ewig

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."
"The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing."
Walt Disney

"Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet."
Bob Dylan

"I think to myself that when you’re in love, sometimes you have to swallow your pride and sometimes you have to fight to keep your pride. It’s a balance, but when the relationship is right…you find that balance."
Emily Giffin, Something Borrowed

"Our lives are defined by opportunities, even the ones we miss."
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

"More often than not, a hero’s most epic battle is the one you never see; it’s the battle that goes on within him or herself."
Kevin Smith

"Friends are those rare people who ask how we are and then wait to hear the answer."
Ed Cunningham

"Love is passion, obsession, someone you can’t live without. If you don’t start with that, what are you going to end up with? Fall head over heels. I say, find someone you can love like crazy and who’ll love you the same way back. And how do you find him? Forget your head and listen to your heart. I’m not hearing any heart. Run the risk, if you get hurt, you’ll come back. Because, the truth is there is no sense in living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love- well, you haven’t lived a life at all. You have to try. Because if you haven’t tried, you haven’t lived."
Meet Joe Black

"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands but seeing with new eyes."
Marcel Proust

"時間的沙漏彷彿靜止了,但卻又感受到靈魂的震動 :)"

Ku Ku Koooooo!

Recently, someone in our neighborhood is keeping a rooster as a pet!
Talk about a "live" alarm clock! Haha!
And it goes off at like 5am -ish and the weirdest hours ever! (like throughout the day, but this morning, I realised it sounded like it has abit of a sore throat...oh man...)

I just feel funny knowing that a rooster is living near by!
From "what-the-heck!" to slowly anticipating hearing it goes "ku ku kooooooooooooooo" now and then!
Wuahhaha! XD

p/s: a lame joke I'd invented few years back:

Q:What is the most forgetful animal on earth?
A: It's the rooster! Coz' it has forgotten to take down its comb and has left it on its head!
*gua gua gua*

pp/s: we are having KFC later.. somehow I have been anticipating since lunch.. XD

Good Morning!

I'm so gonna read all the books by Paul Auster! XD
